Who should attend :

This reporting course is for those with no previous Power BI experience. It’s also perfect for you if you’ve used it but never designed a report.
If you’ve created analytics in other reporting tools such as Microsoft Access, WebI, SSRS, Tableau, or Yellowfin, that’s fine, but not necessary. If you have any, it will be another string to your bow.
This is also fine if you’ve used Excel formulas before, but again, it’s not necessary.
No prior experience with reporting tools or generating formulas is required.
If you’ve always known how to use Power BI and create reports, this course is probably not for you, although we will cover more advanced topics, including the M and DAX languages.
If you have a Mac, this course may not be for you, as Power BI cannot be installed natively on a Mac.

Course prerequisites

Before starting this course, you must have a computer with Internet access and the ability to install Windows programs.

You will need Windows 8.1, 10 or 11 or Windows Server 2012 R2 or later to install the Power BI program.

That’s it! The more experience you have with creating reports using other software packages, including Excel, the better, but it is not essential.

If you have a Mac, you will need to be able to dual boot in Windows or use desktop parallel boot in Windows. However, Mac users can use the Power BI service and be able to complete most parts 1 and 4 of this course.
