Description
Problem Solving Using Computational Thinking is a training course on computational thinking and the process of solving physical problems with software solutions and programming, published by Coursera Training Academy. One of the misconceptions about computers and computer systems is to think about them. Computers can’t think like humans, but it is possible to define a set of commands for the computer and then teach the computer how to execute those commands. The process of determining the command for the computer and specifying the execution process is called programming. Before starting the programming and coding process, programmers should know exactly the commands and purposes of their software and then express them in the form of commands that the computer understands.
Computational thinking is a style of thinking like critical thinking that lets you break a problem down into smaller pieces and then study each section carefully. Finally, you should be able to provide a complete and effective software solution to this problem. This training is completely project oriented and during the course you will provide software solutions to a number of real world problems and challenges. This course is recommended for all beginner programmers and can completely change the way you think about the world of programming and coding.
What you will learn in solving problems using computational thinking
- Familiarity with different parts and stages of computational thinking such as abstraction, initial problem identification, problem analysis into smaller parts, pattern identification, writing algorithms, and evaluating different algorithms and solutions
- Practical implementation of computational thinking process and solving real and physical problems with software solutions
- Basic knowledge of programming and its importance
- Changing the user’s mindset towards the programming process
